Bergen City Marathon 2025: Løpefest med motbakke
Våren har ankommet Bergen og byen blomstrer i fargerike joggesko til 2-3 tusen kroner. Kristiania skal igjen markere seg på Bergen City Marathon, men ikke slik vi så for oss.
Arbeidet med å fylle stafettlaget starter allerede året før. Det er en forpliktelse som er så langt frem i tid at samtlige sliter å finne gode unnskyldninger. Ambisiøst nok tenkte vi at et par kolleger skulle løpe halvmaraton, for å åpne opp for plasser på stafetten. Godt vitende at et stafettlag må fylles til mellom 150-200 prosent, grunnet massivt frafall før arrangementet. Og frafall ble det.
Den ferske tvillingfaren rakk ikke å bestille billett til halvmaraton, så han måtte fylle ut stafetten i stedet. Så ved startstreken stilte til slutt ni kolleger på stafetten, BIL sin nestleder på halvmaraton og fem studenter fra “Kristiania Running Club “. Det store spørsmålet var hvem som ville komme
først i mål. Et lag som fordeler 21 km på ni, en ensom og utrent tredveåring eller en håndfull spreke studenter. Om du gjetter 20-åringene i egen løpeklubb, så har du sjokkerende nok rett.
Etter nestlederen karret seg i mål på halvmaratonet var det uvirkelig å se at han hadde slått stafettlaget på distansen. Til tross for at rebellen på sisteetappe hadde forhåndsmeldt en “gå sakte”-aksjon. En kaotisk Teams-samtale avdekket at målgangen ikke ble registrert, siden stafettpinnen var plassert i en sekk og kunne avleses av sensorene ved målstreken. Rebellen valgte å gå tilbake og løpe etappen på nytt. Noe som resulterte i at Kristianias stafettlag endte på en nest sisteplass i år. Men, det eneste laget som løp 11 etapper!
Dagens bragd ble feiret på restaurant etter løpet. Diabolsk nok ble vi tildelt privatbord som var nedfelt i gulvet. En asian-fusion møbelarkitektur som ikke var forenelig med melkesyre. Når smertene har gitt seg i mai vil rekurreringen for BCM 2026 starte og nye fantastiske historier.
