Årets aktivitetskonkurranse: Pokalen skal «hem til Bergen»

Høstens store aktivitetskonkurranse er avsluttet, og Axel Eikner kjempet seg til seieren. Det så lenge ut til at Audun Beyer skulle stikke av med seieren, men Axel slo han på målstreken.

​Axel har konkurranseinstinktet på plass, og pokalen skal derfor «hem til Bergen», som Axel sier det selv. 

– Jeg lå jo milevis bak Audun i starten av konkurransen, fordi han startet konkurransen med å sykle fra Paris til Marseille og fikk mye uttelling for det. Den siste uken av konkurransen var jeg imidlertid på jobb i Oslo, og da gikk jeg et par ganger hjem fra Kvadraturen til Holmenkollen Park, via Vettakollen og Frognerseteren. 

– Den siste kvelden oppdaget jeg plutselig at jeg ledet konkurransen foran Audun. Jeg ringte min kone etter at jeg hadde lagt meg for å fortelle ‘the great news’, men når jeg gikk inn i app’en igjen, oppdaget jeg at jeg hadde falt ned til andreplass, forteller han engasjert videre. 

Axel avsluttet samtalen med kona, stod opp av senga, kledde på seg, løp ut, og gikk rundt i Holmenkollanlegget i 40 minutter.  

– Da følte jeg meg rimelig artig, men det fungerte. Klokken 23.58 hadde jeg karret meg opp til den gjeve førsteplassen blant deltagerne ved Kristiania, og ble nummer 30 på landsbasis! sier Axel. 

Jevn konkurranse!

Det ble en knepen seier med Axel sine 26 123 skritt i snitt hver dag gjennom hele konkurrarsen, mot Audun sine 25 974 skritt. Axel overtar vandrepokalen fra fjorårets vinner, Nora Thorsteinsen Toft, og pokalen skifter derfor for første gang campus fra Oslo til Bergen. 

Axel var også en sterk bidragsyter til at laget hans, Kristianias Stormskrittere, stakk av med lagseieren. Med seg på laget hadde han Karoline Niklasson, Benedicte R. Blom, Borghild Brekke Hauglid, Mina Tjelle, Simen C. Grøgaard, Therese Brustad og Camilla Solbakken. 

Målet er å holde et snitt på 10 000 skritt om dagen gjennom hele kampanjeperioden, som tilsvarer strekningen Los Angeles til New York. Hvert skritt man tar overføres automatisk til Dyttappen, og man kan også registrere annen aktivitet i aktivitetstabellen som omregnes til skritt. 

Velfortjent seier

– Gratulerer så mye til vinneren, og imponerende innsats av alle deltakerne! Håper enda flere vil bli med neste år, sier leder for Kristiania Bedriftsidrettslag, Kamilla Kolvig.
